2023 Lagos Street Soccer championship: Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency to provide security support

In preparation for the upcoming Lagos Street Soccer Championship, the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) has affirmed its commitment to providing safety and security assistance during the tournament. This assurance was conveyed by the agency's General Manager, Prince Oyekan Falade, during a courtesy visit to his office by the Lagos Street Soccer Committee, led by Bolaji Yusuf.

Yusuf, in his opening statements, underscored that security is one of the committee's top priorities in organizing this year's Lagos Street Soccer Championship. He emphasized the importance of ensuring a secure environment for the championship, which encompasses all communities across Lagos State.

"The Committee's goal, as established by LSFA chairman, Fouad Oki, is to have a smooth and trouble-free tournament, which is why we have approached the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency to provide us with logistical support," Yusuf stated.

In response, Prince Falade, the General Manager of the agency, expressed his appreciation for hosting the committee and commended their efforts in prioritizing security. He thanked them for aligning with Lagos State's progressive agenda.

Prince Falade emphasized the significance of sports in the state, noting that it has the potential to engage and divert individuals away from undesirable activities. He expressed his belief that the Lagos Street Soccer Championship could serve as a platform to unearth more football talents.

Prince Falade acknowledged the importance of security in sporting events and highlighted the agency's partnerships with various security and community organizations. He expressed his satisfaction with the Lagos Street Soccer committee's decision to seek their assistance in ensuring a safe and successful tournament.

The Lagos Street Soccer Championship is scheduled to commence on October 2, 2023, in Surulere, Lagos.
