2023 FA Cup: Mighty Jets target historic win over Gombe Utd FC

The Chairman of Nigeria National League (NNL) side Mighty Jets International FC of Jos, Alexander Wukari, has urged his team to down Gombe United in their Federation Cup Round of 32 fixture.

ASN reports that the Round of 32 FA Cup cracker will be decided at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Thursday.

Wukari is appreciative of the overwhelming sacrifice the team has exhibited in the past few days and is assured that the sacrifices of the players and officials will not go unrewarded.

Wukari has also congratulated the management, players, and supporters of Plateau United for beating two-time former African champion Enyimba of Aba in Benin City to advance to the round of 16.

The Chairman said he has never in doubt of the quality of talents within the fold of both Plateau and Mighty Jets teams.

"I believe either or both sides will reach the semi-finals of Nigeria’s oldest football competition this year."

"I wish both teams from Plateau State the best of luck as the competition progresses."

Mighty Jets will continue their campaign in the NNL immediately after the Federation Cup round of 32 tie with Gombe United in Kano and will travel to Abuja for another fixture.

The team will then head back home to keep a date with Kogi United for the NNL fixtures.
