2023 CAF Champions League: Medeama SC pip Remo Stars

Nigeria's representatives at the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League Remo Stars FC on Sunday were beating by Ghana's Medeama SC in the opening encounter.

The Nigeria Premier League's runners up, Sky Blue Stars started their campaign in the CAF champions league with a slim defeat to their Ghanaian counterpart Medeama SC.

Remo Stars have been brimming with confidence before the match, and put up a brave fight at the Cape Coast Stadium.

However, a lone strike by Medeama SC's Sowah in the second half of the game nailed the Daniel Ogunmodede's  fate.

Remk Stars worked extra hard to equalise the game in the second half but the host did enough to nullify all their threat as the game ended 1-0 in favour of Medeama SC.

Remo Stars will need to score 2 unreplied goals in the second leg slated for Remo Star stadium in Ikenne next weekend if they want to progress into the next round of the competition.
