2023/2024 NWFL Match Day 10: Delta Queens officials involved in ghastly auto accident

Information has it that Delta Queens FC officials were involved in an auto accident on Tuesday while on their way to Ikenne for their Nigeria Women Football League 2023/2024 match day 10 game with Remo Stars Ladies!


The accident occurred around Ijebu Ode, according to a team official. Injured officials are currently receiving treatment as no lives were lost.


However, the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) said it was devastated by the news of the road accident involving Delta Queens FC officials.


NWFL, in a letter, extended their deepest condolences to the affected officials while pledging to support them.


"On behalf of the entire NWFL, we offer our deepest condolences to the affected individuals, their families, Delta Queens FC, and the Delta State government. We are incredibly thankful there were no fatalities, but our thoughts are with those injured, and we sincerely wish them a full and speedy recovery.


"The NWFL stands firmly with Delta Queens during this difficult time. We offer our unwavering support as they navigate through this challenging situation.


Ms. Nkechi Obi's board urges everyone to keep those affected in their thoughts and prayers as they heal.


The NWFL will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide any necessary assistance to those in need."
