The highest goal scorer in the recently concluded 2023/2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League, Folashade Florence Ijamilusi, has committed her management career future to the leading players and coaches management company in Nigeria, TopPro Management, under the able leadership of the ace FIFA football agent, Ayodele Thomas.
The Chief Executive Officer of TopPro, who was also a one-time President of the Football Intermediaries Association of Nigeria (FIAN), disclosed this to newsmen in Lagos shortly after the league goal king signed a contract with Barrister Ayodeji Thomas at his office in Lekki, Lagos.
The UK-trained players' manager, whose influence extends beyond Nigeria, also announced earlier the management of Cameroonian female national team goalkeeper and Bayelsa Queens FC player, Ange Bawou.
He pointed out that football is a real business and the management of players must be all-encompassing with professional and poignant advice that yields mutual benefits, according to the soft-spoken players' manager.
"TopPro Management is known for managing top-quality players with optimal achievements in the football business.
"Players and coaches must not be treated like slaves anymore. To avoid this, we must guide them professionally and ensure they are respected with financial benefits," he said.
Ijamilusi, a sought-after talent, was part of the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup squad and later graduated to Nigeria's U-20 Falconets in 2018.
A year later, the FC Robo Queens forward received a call-up to Nigeria's senior national team, the Super Falcons, and won a gold medal for Nigeria during the All African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
A product of Springsoca Academy, Ijamilusi ended the just-concluded season as the top scorer of the NWFL with 9 goals and 6 assists in 14 games for FC Robo Queens, after leading the goal pack at the Lagos FA Cup.
