2023/2024 NPFL Transfer: Sunshine Stars FC announces arrival of NNL goal poacher, Sodiq

After witnessing the team's fortunes nosedive in the ongoing 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Sunshine Stars announced on Thursday the arrival of Tunde Sodiq, the top scorer from the Nigeria National League (NNL).


Tunde Sodiq has been brought in to strengthen the attacking lineup of the Owena boys and to complement the club's leading goal scorer, Micheal Olalusi, who has previously suffered injuries.


Sunshine Stars FC officially confirmed the signing of Sodiq Tunde from Ekiti United, one of the highly-rated goal poachers in the NNL.


It was reported that Sodiq has signed a short-term deal with the Akure Gunners, keeping him with the team until the end of the Nigeria Premier Football League 2023/2024 season.


The robust striker played a crucial role, scoring nine goals in seventeen appearances for the BAO Boys in the NNL Abridged League last season and in the current campaign.
