2023/2024 NPFL Match Day 30: Akwa United in mix as unbeaten Niger Tornadoes come knocking

18th-placed Akwa United will welcome 9th-placed Niger Tornadoes to the Goodswill Akpabio Stadium for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 30 fixtures, which many have adjudged to be a must-win for the Uyo-based side.


The Promise Keepers are returning to Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, after failing to impress in the last NPFL Match Day 29 fixtures against league title-chasing Remo Stars in a 1-2 loss, despite having a new manager, Babaganaru, in charge of the team.


The Promise Keepers have been without a substantive head coach for about 20 matches after their erstwhile coach, Fatai Osho, left due to some unfavorable results.
