Fidelis Ilechukwu, from Rangers International, stated that conceding four goals against Katsina United is unacceptable in football.
The Flying Antelopes suffered their first defeat in eleven matches in the 2023/2024 NPFL season, losing 4-3 to Katsina United F.C. at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on matchday 29.
Ilechukwu, saddened by the outcome, mentioned they would motivate the players and make corrections before their next league game. "I think it was a great game for both teams. Scoring three goals away isn't easy, but conceding four goals is unacceptable in football. I'm saddened by that, but we can only move forward as today's game is over. We need to motivate the boys, identify the challenges, and make corrections for our next game."
With 51 points from 29 matches and a superior goal difference, Rangers remain at the top and will face Abia Warriors on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, known as 'The Cathedral'.
