2023/2024 NPFL Match Day:14: Red signals for Harmony Boys as fans kick over poor results

Posted : 18 December 2023

There is obvious disquiet in the camp of Kwara United FC as strings of unimpressive performances have pitted the team against its fans.

Recall that the Harmony Boys drew 1-1 with Niger Tornadoes on Match Day 14 played at Ilorin Township Stadium on Sunday.

Some home fans of Kwara United Football Club have expressed disappointment over persistent poor games at home in the ongoing 23/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), stating that their draw streaks at the home ground may jeopardize their NPFL status if nothing is done to avert further damage.

A fan of the club, Abdulwaheed AbdulRazaq, said their performance against Ikon Allah boys was woeful and unacceptable, adding that he expected the team to play to the admiration of their lovers and spectators but failed to deliver when it mattered most.

He blamed the lackluster performance of the team on the continuous sidelining of their creative midfielder, Mohammed Alao, due to injury, imploring other players to be determined and work hard on their scoring ability to avert looming danger.

While exonerating Coach Kabir Dogo from the mess, he challenged players of the club to up their games and play to the instructions of the technical crew to bring about positive results in many games to come.

Also speaking, a fan known as Tindana appealed to the management of the club to sign top-quality players during the fast-approaching January window to fortify the team as the league continues.

Tindana stressed that there is a lack of unity in the team, asking players to eschew their differences and work as a formidable team to justify the huge investment of the present administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in them.

It will be recalled that Kwara United played a goalless draw against Doma United, lost two-nil against Remo Stars, and played goalless again against Niger Tornadoes. Kwara United will host in-form Plateau United on Thursday in Match Day 15.
