Warri Wolves FC's new wonderboy, Collins Onovughe, won the admiration of spectators at the Kwale Township Stadium as he converted a penalty and provided an assist in his debut with Warri Wolves FC, sealing a 3-1 victory, the highest scoreline the Warri-based side has had this season.
The center forward, who paired perfectly with Jabbar Malik, stepped up in the 30th minute of the first half and beautifully converted a spot kick to put Warri Wolves at two goals to nil following an opener by Ekene Osigwe.
The former Ughelli United player churned out breathtaking performances for the home side and put the opponent's defense under pressure for better parts of the game.
He registered his presence yet again in the 33rd minute as he outplayed three defenders from the visiting side before providing an assist that was well tucked in by Jabbar for the third goal.
The pacy forward, who put up a Man of the Match performance, said in a post-match interview with the team's media that he looks forward to having a better future with his new side.
"I give God the glory, and I feel great scoring and giving an assist on my first outing with the Seasiders."
"It is not in my place to set targets; I go with the game as it comes and hope to have a beautiful time with my teammates because it is more about the team."
Collins Onovughe was with Ughelli United Football Club before joining Warri Wolves FC mid-season.
