2023/2024 NNL: Osun United FC unveils 27 players

Excitement and anticipation are building as Nigeria National League (NNL) newcomers, Osun United FC, make bold strides in preparation for the upcoming 2023-24 NNL season. Their dynamic approach sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting journey.
 
The Osogbo-based club has announced the selection of 27 players who will carry their banner into this highly anticipated season. This comprehensive list was unveiled following a training session held at their newly adopted training ground at Fountain University, Osogbo.
 
Head Coach Oluseye Ajayi took center stage during the briefing, expressing the immense challenge in making the final decisions on the players. With a deep talent pool at his disposal, Ajayi noted that every player warranted a chance, making the selection process one of the most challenging tasks he has encountered in his career.
 
The 27 players who will represent Osun United FC in the upcoming season are as follows:

Addressing the players after the announcement, the club’s Team Manager, Kabiru Adekunle, provided some context behind the selection. He revealed that, while they had initially hoped for a squad of 40 players, budget constraints had led them to start with 27 players. He, however, assured the remaining players that as soon as the necessary approvals come through, they might be called back to rejoin the team.
 
Osun United FC’s journey in the 2023-24 NNL season begins on November 4, 2023, with a thrilling clash against Crown FC of Ogbomosho. The action will take place at the Osogbo Township Stadium, and Osogbo fans are expectant to rally behind their team as they embark on this exciting new chapter in Nigerian football.
