Arsenal Invincible Gilberto Silva has offered guidance to the Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Ethan Nwaneri and his teammate Myles Lewis-Skelly, who are emerging talents from Arsenal's renowned Hale End Academy. Both players recently featured in the matchday squad against Lens in the UEFA Champions League.
Nwaneri, who made his senior debut as a second-half substitute in a Premier League fixture against Brentford in September 2022, has been fully integrated into the development squad this season. In contrast, Lewis-Skelly is yet to make his senior debut but remains a promising talent.
In an interview with Daily Canon, Silva shared his insights with the young duo, emphasizing the importance of not dwelling on mistakes. Silva encouraged them to focus on simplicity and making the game easier, stressing that every touch, from the first to the tenth, holds significance.
Nwaneri's progress includes four appearances in the Premier League 2 with five goal contributions. Additionally, he has scored a goal in the UEFA Youth League and provided an assist in the EFL Trophy.
