Formula One driver Yuki Tsunoda announced on social media that he will sport a VALORANT-themed helmet at the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix this weekend. The helmet features Jett, a character from the popular game, along with the VALORANT logo and branding from Visa Cash App RB’s commercial partners.
This unique helmet design stems from a collaboration with Red Bull Gaming, the gaming arm of the energy drink giant. Christian Hesse, Global Head of Gaming Events at Red Bull, shared details of this partnership on LinkedIn, highlighting Red Bull’s continued engagement with the gaming community.
Yuki Tsunoda, who currently drives for Red Bull's sister team, AlphaTauri, made his F1 debut in 2021. The former Japanese F4 champion of 2018 and third-place finisher in the 2020 Formula 2 Championship has been a rising star in the racing world.
Red Bull has a long-standing involvement in esports, supporting teams like Astralis and Team Heretics, and hosting events at venues such as the Red Bull Gaming Sphere Aarhus in Denmark. The company’s collaboration with Riot Games' VALORANT includes partnerships with the VALORANT Champions Tour and organizing the VALORANT OFF//SEASON tournament, Red Bull Home Ground. The Belgian Grand Prix, set for July 28th, will be held at the historic Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
