Middle Eastern esports company YaLLa Esports has entered into a partnership with game data platform GRID Esports. This collaboration will see GRID Esports supplying a variety of data services for Compass, a community-focused Counter-Strike 2 tournament series operated by YaLLa.
The two companies intend to leverage this data to generate content that enriches the narratives surrounding the participating teams, offering a deeper context to the competition.
Compass, a recently announced large-scale Counter-Strike 2 tournament series by YaLLa Esports, boasts a substantial prize pool of $450,000 and is scheduled to culminate in a LAN final in the United Arab Emirates in June 2024. In addition to partnering with GRID Esports, YaLLa Esports has also joined forces with sports, events, and talent management firm IMG for this event.
YaLLa Esports, headquartered in Dubai and established in 2016, operates within the Middle East, running Compass and managing esports teams, including those competing in VALORANT and PUBG Mobile.
Teemu Koski, Vice President of Media at YaLLa Esports, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, "As a data partner, GRID introduces a world of creative entertainment opportunities to Compass. The partnership will provide unique insights, statistics, and analysis of in-game events, turning raw data into engaging content that esports enthusiasts can enjoy."
