Middle Eastern esports company YaLLa Esports has forged a strategic alliance with web3 streaming platform Myco, marking a significant partnership in the esports landscape. Myco will serve as a key partner for Compass, a prestigious Counter-Strike 2 tournament series organized by YaLLa Esports, with a staggering prize pool of $450,000 (~£369,000).
Under this collaboration, Myco secures exclusive Arabic language streaming rights for both the Compass qualifiers and finals, along with the MENA Open tournaments. Moreover, Myco will integrate the tournament circuit into its innovative web3 platform, offering viewers the opportunity to earn rewards while engaging with the content.
The Compass tournament series, which kicked off its qualification phase in October 2024, features two qualifiers, each boasting a $25,000 (~£19,981) prize pool. Winners of these qualifiers earn coveted spots in the LAN final, held in the United Arab Emirates in June, with a substantial prize pool of $400,000 (~£319,800). Currently, only German esports organization BIG has secured qualification for the prestigious event.
In line with YaLLa Esports' vision to bolster the esports industry in the United Arab Emirates, the creation of Compass is poised to catalyze growth, fostering job creation opportunities and enabling local teams to vie against esteemed global counterparts. Myco's collaboration with YaLLa Esports adds to the robust partnership portfolio of Compass, alongside esteemed entities like data platform GRID Esports and skin trading marketplace BitSkins, reaffirming the tournament's commitment to innovation and community engagement.
