Middle Eastern esports company YaLLa Esports has unveiled a major expansion for its YaLLa Compass Counter-Strike 2 circuit, set for 2025. The revamped YaLLa Compass 2025 will include two LAN events in the Middle East, featuring a substantial prize pool of $1.5 million, a significant increase from the $450,000 prize pool of the 2024 event held in Abu Dhabi.
The qualification process for the first YaLLa Compass 2025 event will commence on July 29th, with additional qualifiers scheduled for late 2024 and early 2025. Teams that advance through these open qualifiers will then compete in closed qualifiers ahead of the first LAN event, which is planned for the second quarter of 2025.
YaLLa Esports also announced that the Compass events will be hosted across two Middle Eastern cities, although specific locations have yet to be revealed. The inaugural edition of YaLLa Compass garnered strong viewership, with peak figures of 163,139 and nearly 3 million hours watched over its 42-hour broadcast, according to Esports Charts.
Since its inception in 2016, YaLLa Esports has grown into one of the leading esports companies and tournament organizers in the Middle East. For the 2024 event, it secured significant partnerships with entities such as BitSkins and IMG. Klaus Kajetski, Founder and CEO of YaLLa Esports, highlighted the growth and success of the previous season and emphasized that YaLLa Compass 2025 aims to deliver an even greater experience, reinforcing its status as a premier international tournament.
