ESI Events, the events arm of Esports Insider, has announced that the*gamehers will serve as a Supporting Partner for ESI Lisbon. This partnership includes the*gamehers hosting a special edition of their the*powHER Play Social event on September 24th at the MEO Arena.
The the*powHER Play Social event is designed to create a warm and interactive environment, encouraging meaningful discussions and fostering connections among video game industry professionals. This event offers opportunities for attendees to network, find potential collaborators, and meet mentors, all while participating in engaging activities tailored to the gaming community.
Attendees can look forward to a structured agenda that includes opening remarks, an overview of the day's schedule, and a presentation on "Empowering Women in Gaming." This presentation will cover topics such as the rise of women in gaming, the*gamehers' initiatives, and future opportunities. The event will also feature an interactive session focused on networking and collaboration strategies.
Allie Young, President of the*gamehers, will participate in a panel discussion titled "A Women’s Job: State of Play for Women’s Esports" at ESI Lisbon. Young expressed enthusiasm about expanding the partnership with ESI, highlighting the*gamehers' commitment to empowering women and underrepresented individuals in the gaming industry. The event is scheduled for September 24th from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM in the workshop room at ESI Lisbon, which will be held concurrently with the SBC Summit, drawing over 25,000 attendees.
