French esports powerhouses Team Vitality and R8G Esports are making significant moves in the sim racing world, announcing their collaboration to field a roster for the popular racing game Rennsport. This partnership positions Team Vitality as one of the contenders among the 12 teams slated to compete in the upcoming 2024 Spring Season of ESL R1, enhancing the organization's presence in the esports landscape.
Under the agreement, R8G Esports, led by former Formula One driver Romain Grosjean, will provide support to Team Vitality's Rennsport roster, bolstering their preparation for upcoming events. As a result of this collaboration, R8G Esports will no longer field its own team in ESL R1, signaling a strategic shift in focus towards strengthening Team Vitality's position in the sim racing arena.
The 2024 ESL R1 Spring Season, set to kick off on May 17th as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will feature Team Vitality as one of the participants in the highly anticipated event. With an already impressive roster, including accomplished drivers like Marcell Csincsik and Erhan Jajovski, who have secured notable victories in prestigious virtual races, Team Vitality is poised to make a strong debut in the sim racing circuit, adding to its diverse portfolio of esports rosters across various gaming titles.
