Multinational esports organization Team Liquid has announced a partnership with credit card brand Visa for its VCT Game Changers roster. Under this deal, the team will compete in the Brazilian Game Changers circuit as Team Liquid Visa, with Visa’s logo prominently displayed on the front of their jerseys.
The partnership was announced on LinkedIn, where Team Liquid expressed their excitement, stating: “We’re proud to announce the newest Team Liquid partnership: Visa. The biggest inclusive team in Latin America has taken the next step in its journey and now we are Team Liquid Visa.” This collaboration marks a significant step in Team Liquid’s efforts to enhance its brand and support its inclusive gaming initiatives.
VCT Game Changers, a premier VALORANT league for marginalized genders, was introduced in 2021 as part of the broader VALORANT Champions Tour circuit. Team Liquid, which also fields a VCT EMEA roster, has been a strong competitor in Game Changers Brazil since acquiring the Gamelanders Purple roster in 2022. The team has consistently performed well both regionally and globally, aiming for high placements in the annual international VCT Game Changers Championship.
Visa’s involvement in esports is extensive, with partnerships dating back to 2017 with SK Gaming and collaborations with FACEIT since 2019. This year, Visa has partnered with Argentine esports organization Leviatán and launched an esports academy project with Natus Vincere (NAVI). The addition of Visa to Team Liquid’s commercial portfolio, which includes brands like Sui, Alienware, and Coinbase, further solidifies Team Liquid's standing in the esports industry.
