Swarovski unveils exquisite trophy for 2023 FNCS Global Championship in Copenhagen
Posted : 10 October 2023
Jewellery company Swarovski has crafted the trophy for the 2023 FNCS Global Championship, which is set to take place in Copenhagen, Denmark. The trophy, weighing approximately nine kilograms, boasts a wide base adorned with the FNCS logo made from Swarovski crystals as its centerpiece.
Swarovski, renowned for its glassware, lead glass, and jewellery, is globally recognized for its craftsmanship and operates numerous stores worldwide.
This isn't Swarovski's first collaboration with the FNCS; they previously collaborated on the 2022 edition's trophy. While the basic shape of the trophy remains the same, there have been changes to its overall dimensions.
The base is now larger, the arms are longer, and the trophy sports a golden and silver finish, in contrast to the silver and purple of the previous year. These adjustments have increased the trophy's weight to just over nine kilograms, compared to around seven kilograms in 2022.
The FNCS Global Championship is scheduled to occur from October 13 to 15 at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a prize pool of $4 million.
The competition will feature 75 duo teams with the highest points accumulated throughout the season, who will not only vie for the substantial cash prize but also the newly enhanced Swarovski-crafted trophy. Qualification for the event is determined based on players' performances in the Majors, large competitive events introduced for the first time this year.
