Snoop Dogg quit the FaZe Clan Board, Preston Gardner, CEO and founder of RESPAWN, buys the organization
Posted : 04 May 2023
Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus Jr.), an American musician and businessman, has resigned from the board of directors of FaZe Clan, the North American esports organization said in an SEC filing.
As a result of the decision, Snoop will no longer be connected to the business in any form as of right away. Just over a year ago, in March 2022, Snoop Dogg became a board member and content creator for FaZe Clan for the first time.
Another development is the acquisition of the gaming furniture brand from OFM, a distributor and producer of furniture, by Preston Gardner, president, CEO, and founding member of RESPAWN Products.
The acquisition, according to a press statement, enables RESPAWN's staff to "completely concentrate" its efforts to rebuilding and assisting the gaming community that supports the brand. Neither side has disclosed the acquisition's financial specifics.
Since its founding in 2017, RESPAWN has produced specialized gaming furniture for numerous organizations and esports stakeholders.
