Riot Games, known for its popular titles like VALORANT and League of Legends, has introduced a new initiative called Riot Play Club to enhance local fan engagement. This program will allow partnered venues across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Nordics to host small-scale events, supported directly by Riot. The goal of Riot Play Club is to strengthen the connection between the gaming community and Riot Games, providing fans with opportunities to celebrate their favorite games in a more personal setting.
Initially, Riot Play Club will be active in several locations in the UK and Norway. In the UK, events will take place at seven venues including Sidequest locations in London and Coventry, Razer Store London, Pixel Bar in Leeds and Manchester, and New Meta in Islington. In Norway, Oslo’s Eldorado is the current site. As the program expands, additional locations will be announced.
Fans attending Riot Play Club events can participate in a variety of activities such as quizzes, ARAMs, and competitions in Arena and other game modes. The program will also feature watch parties for major events like Worlds and VCT tournaments, with Riot merchandise and other prizes available. The format is designed to be accessible, requiring only attendance on event nights for participation.
Looking ahead, Riot Games is also seeking community involvement to support the program’s growth. The company encourages community leaders and enthusiasts to contribute by coaching new players, leading quizzes, and sharing knowledge about Riot Games lore. Additional details on how to get involved will be shared through social media channels.
