Rainbow Six Siege (R6 Siege) enthusiasts can anticipate an exciting 2024 season as Ubisoft and tournament organizer BLAST disclose the event locations. The upcoming season will witness Majors in Manchester and Montreal, with the climactic Six Invitational championship scheduled to unfold in the United States.
The esports landscape of R6 Siege is comprised of nine regional leagues globally, culminating in the Six Invitational, and the 2024 season's first Major is set for Manchester, UK, followed by the second Major in Montreal, Canada, and the Six Invitational in the US. While host countries are revealed, specific venue and city details are yet to be unveiled, except for the UK event in the B.E.C Arena in Manchester.
Furthermore, Ubisoft has disclosed that the Six Invitational for the 2025 season will be hosted in France, where the company is headquartered. Despite this revelation, the locations for the Majors in the 2025 season remain undisclosed.
Francois-Xavier Deniele, Ubisoft’s VP of Esports & Competitive Gaming, expressed excitement about the positive challenges of the upcoming season and emphasized the increasing significance of the esports scene in North America. The decision to host the next Six Invitational in the US aligns with the growing importance of the esports landscape in the region.
The announcement took place during the R6 Invitational 2024 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a sold-out event with over 9,000 attendees witnessing teams from around the world competing for the $3 million (~£2.37 million) prize pool. The R6 Siege esports circuit is managed by BLAST following a partnership with Ubisoft in December 2022, and BLAST will continue to oversee the R6 Siege scene for the upcoming 2024 season.
