According to Esports Charts, the grand final showdown between NAVI and FaZe Clan peaked at 1.85 million viewers, ranking it as the third-most popular Counter-Strike event ever. Over the course of the event's 105-hour duration, it amassed approximately 58 million hours of viewership.
As the first Major tournament held under the CS2 framework, an updated version of Valve's renowned first-person shooter, PGL Major Copenhagen experienced an uptick in viewership metrics compared to its predecessor.
With a peak viewership of 1.85 million and an average viewership of 552,000, this edition surpassed the Blast.tv Paris Major, which saw peak viewership of 1.53 million and an average viewership of 507,000. Notably, these figures place the PGL Major Copenhagen among the top-tier Counter-Strike events in terms of viewership.
The triumph of NAVI at the PGL Major Copenhagen also translated into substantial viewership numbers, with the team garnering around 15.3 million hours watched, outpacing FaZe Clan's 13 million hours. Furthermore, the event's group stages witnessed peak viewership nearing 1 million, underscoring PGL's commendable performance in engaging audiences across various stages of the tournament.
Additionally, Esports Charts highlighted a shift in viewership dynamics, with English language broadcasts declining from 63% at the Paris Major to approximately 40% at the Copenhagen Major, while other languages such as Ukrainian, Turkish, and Romanian experienced unprecedented growth, contributing to the event's enhanced popularity.
