OG Esports Partners with 1xBet to Launch 'Origins' Documentary Series

Posted : 23 May 2024

OG Esports, a prominent European esports organization, is gearing up to launch a documentary series titled 'Origins' in collaboration with betting company 1xBet, offering viewers an in-depth look into the personal and professional lives of OG Esports' athletes. Scheduled to debut on May 23rd, 2024, the series aims to provide fans with a more intimate understanding of the players' journeys to success, emphasizing personal narratives and human experiences.

Structured into episodes, 'Origins' will delve into the backgrounds of OG Esports' players, shedding light on the factors that have contributed to their achievements. Viewers can anticipate exclusive premieres, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage, with subsequent episodes slated for release later in the year. The inaugural episode will spotlight Matthew 'Ari' Walke, a 21-year-old professional Dota 2 player hailing from Exeter, UK.

This isn't OG Esports' first foray into documentary production; the organization previously embarked on the 'Road to TI' series, chronicling the team's journey to Dota 2's prestigious The International tournament. Building on the success of its predecessor, the 'Origins' series aims to provide a deeper connection between fans and players, celebrating the remarkable journeys that have shaped their identities.

Since 2022, OG Esports has maintained a partnership with 1xBet, aligning with other notable brands such as Red Bull, Wintermute, socios.com, and Secretlab. Dan Sanders, Chief Commercial Officer of OG Esports, expressed the organization's commitment to showcasing the human aspect of esports through initiatives like 'Origins,' offering fans insight into the inspiring stories behind their favorite players. Established in 2015, OG Esports gained prominence for clinching The International titles in 2018 and 2019 with its Dota 2 team, while also fielding teams in Counter-Strike, Rocket League, and VALORANT.
