Ninjas in Pyjamas appoints Fabio Fusco as head of partnership sales, bringing football expertise to esports realm

Posted : 18 October 2023
Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP), the prominent European esports organization, has appointed Fabio Fusco as its new Head of Partnership Sales. Fusco, with a background in football business development and partnerships, will leverage his extensive experience to bolster NIP's partnership portfolio and contribute to the organization's growth in the esports sector.

Having worked at esteemed football clubs like FC Internazionale Milano, Valencia CF, and AS Roma, Fusco brings a wealth of sports industry knowledge to his role.

In his previous roles within football clubs, Fusco focused on forging partnerships and driving sales, making him well-suited for his current position at NIP.

Notably, he served as the Head of Partnership Sales at AS Roma before taking on the same role at NIP. It's worth mentioning that during his time at Valencia, Fusco also collaborated with the club's esports team, VCF Esports, marking his connection to both traditional sports and the burgeoning world of esports.

Expressing his enthusiasm for this new opportunity, Fabio Fusco stated, "I look forward to working with brands to build long tailored-made partnerships and provide them with the huge value that NIP has." He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by Jonas Gundersen and Hicham Chahine, NIP's leadership, and is excited about contributing to the organization's business growth in the esports realm.

Ninjas in Pyjamas, which officially merged with the Chinese brand ESV5 earlier this year to create NIP Group, has ambitious plans to become a global digital sports group and expand the NIP brand on a global scale. However, it has recently faced criticism for removing references supporting Ukraine from its social media channels, reportedly due to pressure from Riot Games China.
