NASCAR collaborates with Gen.G for activations, content creations

NASCAR, the renowned North American stock car racing league, has announced a partnership with global esports organization Gen.G.
This collaboration will involve various activations, including Gen.G content creators working alongside NASCAR during races. Additionally, there will be a watch party held near the stadium in Boston for the upcoming Rocket League Major.
While NASCAR has been actively involved in esports, particularly through its partnership with Rocket League developer Psyonix, this marks the first time they are working together with Gen.G on events and activations.
Although Gen.G does not have its own sim racing roster, they do have a naming rights partnership with motor oil brand Mobil1 through their Rocket League roster. Gen.G also competes in other popular esports titles such as League of Legends, VALORANT, PUBG, and NBA2K.
As part of the partnership, Gen.G content creators Dazerin and Stanz are expected to attend several NASCAR races this season and create content that showcases the unique fan experience.
Furthermore, Gen.G, in collaboration with NASCAR and Mobil1, will host a watch party called "The Pit Stop" for the upcoming RLCS Spring Major in Boston. This event will be open to the public, allowing fans to meet Gen.G Rocket League players and content creators, as well as participate in giveaways.
Nick Rend, NASCAR's managing director for gaming and esports, expressed excitement about the partnership and emphasized their shared belief that gaming is a means of connection. They aim to explore new opportunities together to engage NASCAR fans and introduce the sport to new audiences.
