Moist Esports host first-ever in-person Apex Legends Global Series: 2023 Championship watch party in Tampa.

Esports organization Moist Esports, along with its co-owner Charles White Jr., also known as MoistCr1TiKaL, has unveiled plans for a watch party to celebrate the upcoming Apex Legends Global Series: 2023 Championship.
 
The event will be held in Tampa, Florida from September 8th to 10th, and Moist Esports will offer tickets for sale. This marks the first in-person watch party hosted by the organization, which has previously engaged in hosting watch party streams.
 
Moist Esports is notably co-owned by White Jr., Ludwig Ahgren, Nick Allen, Fanny Palmer, and Matt Philips. The organization stands out as part of the new wave of esports organizations led by content creators, and it has achieved success in Apex Legends and Rocket League. White Jr. is also a co-founder of the custom PC brand Starforge Systems.
 
White Jr., in a YouTube announcement, mentioned that the Moist Esports ownership team aims to experiment with diverse revenue streams and content offerings. Given the success of previous similar streams, organizing an in-person watch party seemed like a natural step.
 
He further explained that Moist Esports is keen to explore avenues beyond traditional merchandise sales and tournament earnings, recognizing the complexities of operating an esports organization. White Jr. highlighted that Moist Esports players retain their earnings and the organization's primary goal isn't solely focused on profit but on enhancing the esports scene's excitement and growth through content-driven approaches.
 
White Jr. emphasized: “It’s truly our mission to make the esports scene more exciting and grow it in a way where the money comes from the content and not on the backs of players doing deals for the org or taking the revenue that they earned.”
 
If the initial watch party proves successful, there are plans to conduct similar activations more frequently, potentially expanding to different cities across the United States. The format will mirror online watch parties, allowing attendees to watch the games and engage with White Jr. and other special guests.
