At Logi PLAY 2024, Logitech unveiled its latest range of simulation racing products, marking a significant step forward for the company in the racing peripherals market. The new Racing Series includes a wheelbase, quick-release hub, wheel hub, two new steering wheels, and a combination shifter and handbrake. These products offer sim racers the flexibility to custom-create their setups, making Logitech's offering more competitive in the professional racing scene.
The highlight of the lineup is the PRO DD11 Wheel Base, which is compatible with Logitech's new RS Wheel Hub. The hub features a steering wheel attachment with updated buttons and switches, and Logitech's quick-release hub allows the wheelbase to work with a variety of steering wheels, including those used in real-world racing. This offers greater customization for serious racers.
Logitech has also partnered with renowned Italian brand MOMO to develop two premium steering wheels. Additionally, an adapter has been designed to fit any existing MOMO racing wheel, enhancing the compatibility options for users. The company also introduced a sequential shifter and handbrake combo, adjustable via the G HUB software, further expanding functionality for racing enthusiasts.
Notably, Logitech has ensured that the new products are backwards compatible with older models, enabling users to upgrade their setups seamlessly. However, the company has opted not to release a dedicated H-pattern shifter at this time.
