LCS Player Association to vote a walkout following NACL changes
Posted : 24 May 2023
According to reports, the LCS Players Association (LCSPA) has asked its members to vote on a walkout in opposition to modifications being made to the NACL, North America's second-tier League of Legends esports league.
This Sunday will see the vote, according to a report by journalist Mikhail Klimentov. The NACL rules made by Riot Games, which no longer require professional teams to have an academy roster in the league's upcoming split, are to blame for the criticism.
However, several of the teams have chosen to drop their NACL rosters as a result of the most recent regulation revisions. Only Team Liquid, FlyQuest, and Evil Geniuses have chosen to keep an academy roster out of the ten LCS organisations.
