HUDstats Appoints Former Twitch, Meta Executive Damian Burns as Board Advisor

Esports data company HUDstats has appointed Damian Burns, a former executive at Twitch, Meta, and Google, as a Board Advisor to spearhead advancements in data analytics and AI applications across gaming, esports, and entertainment sectors.

 

Burns brings extensive experience from his tenure as Managing Director of Gaming at Meta and Senior Vice President at Twitch, alongside his current role as Chief Revenue Officer at Kindred for Business. His role at HUDstats will focus on leveraging AI-driven technologies to enhance data extraction and visualization from live esports broadcasts, providing detailed statistics and interactive dashboards for clients.

 

HUDstats specializes in using computer vision to extract real-time data during esports events, enhancing viewer engagement and supporting betting products through partnerships like the multi-year agreement with Sports Information Services (SIS). Recently, the company transitioned its AI capabilities to Amazon Bedrock, signaling a strategic move to optimize data processing and content delivery.

 

Acknowledged for its collaborations with DreamHack Sports Games and the KNVB (Royal Dutch Football Federation), HUDstats continues to innovate in the esports space, leveraging AI to enrich broadcasting and gaming experiences. Damian Burns highlighted HUDstats’ pioneering efforts in blending technology with creative storytelling, expressing enthusiasm about contributing to the company’s future developments in gaming technology.
