As part of the collaboration, HONOR will supply mobile phones for the festival and its esports competitions, including the prestigious PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI).
The PMWI is scheduled to take place from July 11th to 16th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring 16 top PUBG Mobile teams, such as Tianba and Six Two Eight from China, competing for a prize pool of $3 million.
Teams like Stalwart Esports from India and Alter Ego Ares, the PUBG Mobile SEA Super League champions, have also been announced as participants.
In addition to integrating HONOR into Gamers8's mobile events, the smartphone brand will have a dedicated booth at the festival venue to showcase its brand and latest products. Social media activations and gaming fan raffles will be organized, offering the chance to win tickets to Gamers8: The Land of Heroes.
HONOR was previously under the ownership of Huawei until it was sold in 2020 to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology, an enterprise controlled by the Shenzhen government.
With an impressive prize pool of $45 million, Gamers8: The Land of Heroes will host a wide range of esports tournaments across various titles.
Notable competitions include Rocket League, CS:GO, Dota 2, Sim Racing, Rainbow Six Siege, and FGC titles.
The festival also boasts partnerships with prominent entities like The International Esports Federation (IESF), LG UltraGear, and chemicals company Aramco.
