Guild Esports has emerged victorious in the inaugural edition of the Racing Prodigy League, a competition designed to bridge the gap between esports and real-world motorsport. The ‘e2real’ tournament, which began in November 2024 and concluded in March 2025, featured a series of high-stakes sim racing events.
After five intense rounds, Guild Esports and TC Racing found themselves tied on points, following a race in which Lorenz Horzing finished ahead of Guild’s Will Redford and Laurens Beerten. The championship was ultimately decided through a tie-breaker, where Guild Esports triumphed over TC Racing in a head-to-head contest held in February 2025.
The Racing Prodigy League was created by Racing Prodigy, a company focused on fostering talent in both esports and traditional motorsport. The competition included 12 esports tournaments, culminating in Prodigy Week, where the top 15 performers had the opportunity to drive Radical SR1 race cars at Atlanta Motorsports Park.
By incorporating sim racing into real-world racing opportunities, the event aimed to remove the financial barriers that often prevent aspiring drivers from entering motorsport. Guild Esports competed alongside teams from G2 Esports, Williams Esports, and BS+COMPETITION, making the tournament a landmark event in the esports and motorsport crossover.
Guild Esports’ championship-winning roster consisted of three sim racing drivers, coached by professional racing driver Katherine Legge, as they competed in five real-world races across North America.
Following their victory, Guild Racing Team Principal Seb Hawkins praised the team’s performance, highlighting their resilience and adaptability, especially in the decisive final round. He commended Will Redford, Laurens Beerten, and Nathan for their dedication and skill, emphasizing their role in securing the title for Guild Esports.
