UK-based esports organization Guild Esports has extended its partnership with fast food franchise Subway for an additional year. The expansion of the partnership includes featuring Subway's branding on the jerseys of Guild's professional and academy rosters, providing Subway with increased visibility across various esports events and tournaments.
The original multi-million-pound deal between Guild Esports and Subway was established in 2021, making Subway one of the major partners for the David Beckham-backed organization. This renewed partnership comes as Guild expands its presence into simulation racing, CS2, Street Fighter 6, Fortnite, EA FC, and other esports titles in 2023.
Guild Esports CEO, Jasmine Skee, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "To be partnered with such an iconic brand with Subway’s level of global reach is a testament to Guild’s longevity as an esports organization."
The renewed collaboration signifies Subway's continued support for Guild's vision as an industry disruptor in the esports space. The extension follows a dynamic year for Guild Esports, which, despite a bittersweet financial start, made significant moves by entering new esports titles, securing rounds of investment, and forming partnerships with brands such as hummel and SecretLab.
The partnership extension reflects Subway's commitment to maintaining a strong presence within the esports industry through collaborations with leading organizations like Guild Esports.
