Esports World Cup to hold at GeoGuessr

This year, GeoGuessr, an esports game about geography, will stage its inaugural esports world championship.
 
On October 13 and 14, the GeoGuessr World Cup will be held in the Space Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. There will be a $50,000 prize pool.
 
With the help of Google Street View, the player is thrown into a random location anywhere in the world when playing the game GeoGuessr. The next step is for players to attempt to estimate the location of that location.
 
Despite the seeming absence of cues, the greatest players are able to pinpoint their location to the province or street.
 
Top athletes will participate in the Geoguessr World Cup broadcast to provide strategic knowledge, including the aforementioned georainbolt, to assist spectators understand how players can be so precise.
 
In Stockholm, 24 players from across the world will face off for the title of world champion. They will be split into four groups of six, and in each match, two players will compete to make the fastest and most correct guesses. Round-robin group stage play will be followed by a playoff to decide the overall champion.
