ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and Qualcomm, a chip manufacturer, have broadened the Snapdragon Pro Series, a multi-title mobile esports platform, elevating its prize pool to approximately $4.4 million (£3.5 million).
The expansion encompasses intensified competitions across various titles such as Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Call of Duty: Mobile, aiming to offer enhanced gaming experiences to participants and audiences alike.
Initially introduced in early 2022, the amplification of the tournament aligns with its third year, emphasizing EFG's strategic partnerships with renowned game developers as a catalyst for its evolution.
Notably, collaborations with MOONTON Games and Supercell have propelled the expansion of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and the inclusion of a $2 million Brawl Stars tournament within the Pro Series. Furthermore, ESL FACEIT Group's role as the official operator of the Brawl Stars Championship underscores its commitment to driving excellence in mobile esports.
The Snapdragon Pro Series anticipates the return of Call of Duty Mobile and Free Fire, bolstering the lineup of titles to seven for the forthcoming seasons. As preparations unfold, the series gears up for its next marquee international event, the Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2024, slated later this month. With a substantial prize pool and the prospect of qualification for the Esports World Cup in Free Fire, the event promises an immersive experience for competitors and spectators alike, marking another milestone in the realm of mobile esports.
Sam Braithwaite, VP of Game Ecosystems, Mobile at the ESL FACEIT Group, underscores the significance of mobile esports' burgeoning potential, emphasizing the collaborative efforts with Qualcomm Technologies to empower players worldwide and cultivate a dynamic competitive landscape on mobile platforms.
