This monumental announcement was made during the climactic moments of Evo Japan 2024, stirring excitement within the global gaming community.
Traditionally held in the United States, the Capcom Cup serves as the culminating event for the Capcom Pro Tour, a prestigious circuit managed by Capcom for its beloved Street Fighter franchise. With the relocation to Tokyo, Capcom aims to elevate the tournament's prestige while embracing the fervent enthusiasm of the Japanese gaming scene.
In addition to the venue relocation, Capcom has unveiled ambitious plans for the upcoming season, including a staggering $1 million prize pool for the Capcom Cup 11, mirroring the record-breaking winnings claimed by the previous champion, Wang ‘UMA’ Yuan-hao.
