Posted : 10 May 2023
A community CS:GO tournament will be held for the German esports market by American sandwich brand SUBWAY and European esports organisation Berlin International Gaming (BIG).
Activations across BIG's digital platforms have already been a part of the partnership, which started in March. The second stage of the agreement calls for BIG to conduct a complete CS:GO tournament that is supported by SUBWAY.
The 'unique' concept will give BIG fans the chance to compete against the organization's roster of CS:GO pros, as well as seasoned gamers he tennis and fy poolday. The competition will be streamed on BIG's Twitch channel, and the organisation intends to make the timetable and sign-up details public as soon as possible.
BIG has decided to organise the competition on its own competition platform, the "GoBIG League." Guild Esports, a British organisation, and SUBWAY already have a connection. In March 2021, the two businesses reached a two-year sponsorship arrangement that was allegedly for "several million pounds."
Since then, the two companies have collaborated on events, branding and educational projects, including the Future Talent Series, which aids students and young athletes.
SUBWAY's Digital Marketing Manager, Berkan Güngör, said the collaboration with Berlin International Gaming is a real joy.
“As SUBWAY, it is close to our hearts to support the German CS:GO community and encourage its growth. The upcoming tournament, which includes a lot of attention to detail, is a small contribution to the lively and active CS scene in Germany. We are full of anticipation to see what the future holds for the community and are proud to be part of this exciting scene soon.”
