Andrew Strauser, the former Vice President of Content at Warner Bros Discovery, has joined Tundra Esports, a UK-based esports organization, as their new Chief Content Officer. In this role, Strauser will focus on creating original content for Tundra's platforms, starting with two series for the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Saudi Arabia.
With over 15 years of experience in entertainment production, Strauser has held notable positions such as Creative Director for Jennifer Lopez Entertainment and a media company Studio 71, before becoming an Executive Producer at Twitch.
Despite starting at Tundra in May, Strauser only recently announced his initial projects: "We're hitting the ground running with two original series from the Esports World Cup this month! Stay tuned to Tundra's YouTube and social channels for all the fun!"
Strauser's journey to Tundra began after relocating to the UK. In a LinkedIn post, he shared, "I recently relocated to the UK and was referred to Tundra. I met with our owner/co-founder and commercial director. Their enthusiasm for content creation and its relationship to the brand’s growth was infectious; the rest is history!"
Founded in 2019, Tundra Esports is a London-based organization with teams competing in Dota 2, Rocket League, and Fortnite. This year, Tundra signed partnerships with esports tournament platform Repeat and PC manufacturer Gladiator PC.
Their Dota 2 team is currently competing in the EWC's Riyadh Masters tournament, and the organization has been accepted into the EWC’s Club Support Program, providing financial support to partnered teams. The EWC, a yearly multi-title esports festival held in Riyadh, has faced criticism due to its association with the Saudi Arabian government.
