Usman eyes Thompson, not Chimaev; explains why

Kamaru Usman eyes Stephen Thompson for next fight. While he was open to facing Khamzat Chimaev, he dismissed the idea due to some issues.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Usman admitted he had trouble deciding on his next opponent until he realized Thompson was an option. 

He believes the fight with Thompson makes the most sense as they both seek formidable opponents.

Regarding Chimaev, Usman previously called him out for using his name for attention. He accused Chimaev of refusing to make weight, which led to the fight not happening. 

Usman stands by his decision and emphasized that he won't do what Chimaev demands as he's the bigger star.

Usman seems determined for a showdown with Thompson, especially after Thompson's recent fight cancellation due to his opponent missing weight.
