Lagos-based top side Box 2 Box FC of Surulere maintained a 100% record as the United Football Championship (UFC) league season 2 entered Week 5.
The Ariyo boys, who train at the Legacy pitch, the same venue for the UFC league, have won five matches out of five to claim a maximum of 15 points.
With this performance, Box 2 Box now leads the rest of the pack on the 16-team league table after five rounds of matches.
Box 2 Box survived two top fixtures against Dominion Hotspur FC and Glorious Day FA, which they triumphed in with scores of 2-1 and 1-0, respectively, positioning themselves as the outright favorites to clinch the league title.
In other matches played, FC Bethel Sporting defeated R2Finesse 3-2 in a pulsating encounter, while De Elite and L. Mirado shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.
De Pros FC fell to the superior strength of Lionheart FC in Match Week 4, losing 2-1, but surprisingly came alive against Goshen Stars FC in Match Week 5, hammering them 4-2 to secure their first win and points in the league.
Power of De Cross had earlier lost 2-1 to Goshen Stars in their previous fixture but redeemed themselves with a 2-1 win over L. Mirado in their next match.
Spartans FC of Agege emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Starbase FC, while in-form Jumez FC shockingly slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Lionheart FC.
Meanwhile, more Week 5 matches continue this week in the prestigious league, which has been used to scout and market many grassroots players.
