The rematch between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr. has been moved to July 1 in Manchester

Due to a Liverpudlian's injury, Liam Smith's rematch with Chris Eubank Jr. has been postponed till July 1.

The bout was slated to take place on June 17 in Manchester at the AO Arena after Smith, 34, defeated Eubank in January.

Smith requested a postponement of the date to help with rehabilitation from the minor injury, and Eubank agreed to do so.

"It's just an old injury niggle flaring up but I want to take the time to let it heal up so that I can enter the ring at 100%," Smith said.

"A 100% Liam Smith beats Chris Eubank Jr every day of the week and twice on Sunday."

Smith has won his last four fights by way of knockout, while 33-year-old Eubank wants to revenge his third career loss.

Savannah Marshall will compete against undisputed super-middleweight champion Franchon Crews-Dezurn at the same location and on the same undercard.
