Following a controversial decision, the exhibition fight between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III erupted into a chaotic brawl as individuals stormed the ring.
Referee Kenny Bayliss halted the fight in the sixth round, much to Gotti's frustration, leading him to lash out at the 46-year-old Mayweather.
The ring was subsequently inundated with team members from both camps, and Bayliss struggled to restore order amidst the unfolding drama.
Gotti III, aged 30, is the grandson of former New York crime boss John Gotti.
The melee triggered multiple altercations among spectators both inside the FLA Live Arena in Florida and backstage.
A video shared on social media captured Mayweather, a former boxing world champion, stating, "That's why they pay the big bucks, because I put on a show," after the fight.
Police had to intervene and clear the arena, warning that charges could be pressed against fans who failed to evacuate promptly.
Mayweather, who retired in 2017 with an undefeated record of 50-0, has participated in various exhibition bouts against mixed martial arts fighters and YouTube personalities.
This event marked his first exhibition tour returning to the United States since his eight-round match against YouTuber Logan Paul in 2021.
