Nigeria's Ridwan “Scorpion” Oyekola set for another Featherweight Title fight

Nigeria’s Ridwan Oyekola “Scorpion” is set for another huge title fight in Tokyo, Japan.
The Japan-based boxer who has a 12-1-2-7KOs record will take on Japanese Keisuke Matsumoto (8-0-0-7KOs) for the Japan National featherweight title and the Vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific Featherweight title.
The fight has been scheduled for August 30 at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan.
It is going to be the third fight for the former Nigeria WBF Champion since he relocated to the Asian country.
Nigeria’s Ridwan "Scorpion" Oyekola has continued to dominate headlines in the Japanese boxing circle as he recorded a first round knockout in a boxing show tagged: Okinawa Mayhem, when he thrashed Manat Sopato from Thailand.
Sopato fell twice within 90 seconds of the first round before he entered into a right hand hook-punch of Scorpion in the second minute and kissed canvass, which signaled the end of the much publicized bouts on the official website of the organizer of the event, Mugen Idomu volume 19 Boxing Show series.
Ridwan's success has seen him move from his within 100 positions to be within first 10 in the Super featherweight division in the world according to boxRec.com where all professional boxers are being rated based on their records.
Scorpion who has become the toast of boxing fans in Japan has won all his fights since he relocated to Japan in October 2022 after defeating Daisuke Watanabe, Hikaru Fukunaga and the latest victim, Manat Sopatip respectively.
