The Pan-African title fight card will feature Nigeria’s Daniel Joshua facing Kodah Kofi from Benin Republic in the men’s 71 kg category.

Joshua, currently unbeaten in the ongoing Yucateco Boxing League, stated that he hopes to make light work of his Beninese opponent.
"I saw Kofi fight at the first Yucateco Pan-African Championship in Lome, Togo, in June, and I must say he’s a decent boxer. However, I want to assure Nigerians and the people of Ilorin, Kwara State, that I am going to knock him out at the Emir’s Palace."
Other contests on the night will see Apollinaira Sieu from Benin face Nigeria’s Akintola David in a 75 kg matchup, while Togo’s Pauline Assogba will trade punches against Nigeria’s Hauwa Ogumodede in the female category.
The Technical Director of Yucateco Boxing Promotions, Babatunde Laguda, stated that everything is set for the showdown in Ilorin and that the entire continent should be on the lookout for another Yucateco masterclass.
"Our advance team is in Kwara State as we speak to ensure nothing is left undone. We are not leaving anything to chance for this event at the Emir’s Palace, and His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambar, CFR, has given us his blessings as our chief host."
It will be recalled that Nigeria’s Abdulwahab Abdulrahman and Precious Anine defeated Egypt’s Hagar Elsayed and Mostafa Hafez in the Yucateco Boxing Pan-African title contest held in Uzebba Luleha in the Owan West Local Government Area of Edo in August.
