Francis Ngannou debuts boxing, signs 2024 PFL MMA contract

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has announced that legendary heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson will be in his corner when he faces Tyson Fury in the ring on October 28 in Saudi Arabia. Ngannou, who left the UFC as a free agent earlier this year, will make his professional boxing debut against Fury in Riyadh and has also signed a deal with PFL for MMA competition in 2024.
 
Tyson, known as one of the greatest and most feared boxers in history, expressed his full support for Ngannou in the face-off of champions. He believes in Ngannou's devastating punching power and aims to help him combine his energy, combat skills, and agility to deliver a knockout blow in the boxing ring.
 
Ngannou's journey to the boxing ring has been fueled by his dream to box professionally since his early days in Cameroon before venturing into MMA for better financial opportunities. Despite achieving great success in MMA, he has always maintained a desire to step into the boxing world.
 
The upcoming fight against Tyson Fury, a highly respected heavyweight with an undefeated record, will be a significant challenge for Ngannou. Nevertheless, he is determined to train hard with Mike Tyson in Las Vegas, where he currently resides, and he believes that Tyson's experience and boxing IQ will be invaluable in preparing for this super fight.
 
On the other side, Tyson Fury has also sought help from the world of UFC. He invited heavyweight Tom Aspinall to join his camp, and the two fighters have trained together in the past.
