Delicious Orie Turns Professional, Signs with Queensberry Promotions

British Olympian Delicious Orie has made the decision to turn professional and has signed with Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions, confirming his shift to the professional boxing scene. Orie, a promising talent in British boxing, is now part of Warren's strong lineup of heavyweight boxers, which includes IBF world champion Daniel Dubois and rising star Moses Itauma.

 

At 27 years old, Orie competed in the super-heavyweight division at the Paris Olympics, where he suffered an unexpected first-round loss to Armenian boxer Davit Chaloyan in a 3:2 split decision.

 

The defeat surprised many, especially since Orie had been considered a potential medal contender after his impressive gold medal performance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

 

Despite the setback at the Olympics, Orie is now focusing on his professional career under the guidance of Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions. With his potential and strong backing, Orie aims to make a mark in the heavyweight division moving forward.
