Abeokuta ready to host Yucateco Boxing League Season 2

Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, will come alive on Friday as boxers from across Nigeria storm the palace of the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.


The Yucateco Boxing League, now entering its Week 15, will take place in Abeokuta with 54 amateur boxers competing for glory.

The event will kick off with a red carpet at 5 pm, while the bouts will start at 7 pm.


According to the organizers, fans will get to watch 27 live bouts, including both male and female matches.


Recall that Abdulrahmon AbdulWahab was named the Valuable Amateur Best Boxer in Nigeria during Season 1, winning N15 million and a brand-new car.


The league has previously been held in Kano, Ilorin, Edo, and Lagos States, respectively.
