Turkey's U19 World Cup winners win first FIBA U20 European Championship

Turkey's U19 Basketball World Cup heroes, Samet Yigitoglu, Karahan Efeoglu, and Berke Buyuktuncel, made significant contributions in their team's first win at the FIBA U20 European Championship 2023. Spain also showcased their class by defeating Serbia.
Thijs De Ridder of Belgium had an outstanding performance, recording 26 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists, although it came in a losing effort against Turkey. Gregor Kuuba of Estonia played a crucial role in their victory over Montenegro, contributing 19 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
Zvonimir Ivisic came off the bench for Croatia and made a significant impact with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, and 8 blocks, tying the second-highest number of blocks in a U20 European game.
Despite Luka Bogavac's impressive performance of 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists for Montenegro, it wasn't enough to secure a win against Estonia.
In Lithuania's triumph over Greece, Motiejus Krivas delivered a solid performance with 9 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists, earning an efficiency rating of 21. Spain, France, and Lithuania remain undefeated in the tournament, showcasing their strong form.
The young talents displayed their skills and made significant contributions to their respective teams' performances in the FIBA U20 European Championship 2023.
