Sacramento may host Victor Wembanyama's NBA debut this summer.
The San Antonio Spurs, who will likely choose Wembanyama with the first overall choice on June 22, are one of six teams that will compete in Sacramento in the California Classic, a lesser summer league that comes before the one in Las Vegas in which all NBA teams take part.
The second-ranked draught pick, the Charlotte Hornets, are also competing in the California Classic. The Nos. 1 and No. 2 choices in the draught may meet off in their summer league debut, but not in Las Vegas, as the Spurs and Hornets will start their respective schedules in Sacramento against one another.
 
"This event is the perfect kick-off to the NBA Summer League, giving fans the opportunity to watch the next generation of basketball talent and enjoy a world-class entertainment experience," Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé said.
 
Four days before the Las Vegas event, on July 3, the Sacramento event begins. On July 3, San Antonio faces Charlotte in Sacramento. Also on that day, Miami plays the Los Angeles Lakers, while Golden State plays the Kings.
 
San Antonio plays the Lakers on July 5, Miami plays Sacramento, and Golden State plays Charlotte.
 
On July 7, the NBA Summer League gets underway in Las Vegas.
